In the 3-D work I make the necklaces. I do the faces in polymer clay on copper mesh and glue them to a canvas I have painted. I then add fabric and do-dads. (do-dad being my 82 year old Mother's term)

Artist Statement:

I love Art, trying new things and working with my hands. I have dabbled in many different mediums and often mix them.

I love working with texture, Glitz, Glamour and 3D effects. I guess my trademark has become sparkle.

I feel and all who have seen my artwork believe one must see it in person to truly appreciate. I have a good friend, a fellow artist (watercolor on her part) that lives in Florida. I had sent her photos of my work. She came to visit me and she said one really needs to see my work in person to appreciate. I already told her that. Ha ha aha!

I have come late to this endeavor but I am proud to admit I am 60 years old and have only been really "doing" art for the past 10 years. That does not mean I am a Grandma Moses. Although my Grandmother and Great-Grandfather discovered oil painting in thier later years.

I feel I am a bit avant garde......with emphasis on the meaning experiential,unconventional,extreme and eccentric. I grew up and spent the majority of my life in California. I am sure that has had an influence on my art. I lived the 50's and 60's.......the very best years in California.
