Resume:
I was born on Barksdale Airforce Base
in Bossier City, Louisiana, and have lived in
this area almost all my life, but for one year
that I lived in Korea.
I am the owner of Dark Shadow Productions and Vice President of Defunkt
Magazine.
My work has been featured in local art shows at The Peace of Mind
Center and the Unitarian Universalist Church, both in Shreveport, Louisiana.
Artist Statement:
I have always loved Black & White Photography.
The striking contrast
between the light and dark, and the interplay of the shadows, which is lost in
most Colour photographs, is especially interesting to me. With Black & White photography
you can make an image really
stand out, and for the same reason I love Sepia tone Photos as well, which give
the image an other wordly feeling. I love going to
graveyards and photographing the beauty that can be found there. A lot of my work is very
contrversial due to the imagery I convey, but non-the-less, I do this for my own enjoyment,
and the enjoyment of those who know and appreciate
the work that I produce. My influneces are the old
Black & White horror movies from the 30s and 40s which have a Gothic feel to
them, and of course, grave yards such as those found in Louisiana that have
above ground monuments and crypts.
